The LDS Folk School can only become a reality if church leaders see that the saints in Europe wants and need such a school.

August 1st 2019 being the deadline, inquiries are to be made whether there is a basis for the visionary and promising project concerning the probability of a fulfillment of the following items:

  • Total of 80 international students

    That globally there will be a total of 80 international students who want to attend the long course at the LDS Folk School.

  • LDS members would attend

    That there are LDS members in Europe that thirsts for more gospel knowledge, and that would gladly attend a one-week course at the school relating to a subject of their interest.

  • Attendence of one-week courses

    That there twice a month would be 15 LDS members in Europe that would want to have their testimony strengthened by attending a one-week spiritual boost course like what is experienced at MTC

  • Visits from LDS scholars

    That among recognized LDS scholars there will be an interest, in visiting the school for a time, to teach their specific fields in short or long courses.

  • Cooperation with schools, education centers etc. as ambassadors

    That there will be a basis for establishing cooperation with schools, education centers etc. as ambassadors for the LDS Folk School related to international exchange of students as well as teachers.

  • Sponsors, enterprises, and private donors

    That sponsors, enterprises, and private donors will be available and ready to join in carrying out the task – concerning the LDS Folk School as well as the students.

  • Funds for the purchase and renovation of the former teachers’ training college

    That funds will be found which, taking an interest in the visions and the perspectives of the LDS Folk School, will contribute to the establishing of such a school at an amount of about USD 11.000.000 by the purchase and renovation of the former teachers’ training college at Ribe.
